Look Up is for adults with learning disabilities, family carers, eye care professionals and health and social care staff.

Look Up is a growing resource of information on eye care and vision for people with learning disabilities and we can provide you with information on:

  • identifying eye problems
  • likely implications of sight problems for individuals and their supporters
  • eye tests and sight testing
  • inserting eye drops
  • supporting people to wear glasses
  • low vision services and other sources of help
  • minimising problems in eye surgery
  • specialist support for blind and partially sighted people, including newly blind people
  • people and resources that help you.

This website is a ‘one-stop’ shop of information on eye care and vision for people with learning disabilities. It is educational, easy to use and full of free up to date information.

This website contains a directory of eye care professionals. This easy to use searchable database of services across the UK includes optometrists and opticians; and low vision services with key information about each facility for visually impaired people.

Our website is continually being updated and new information will appear on it every month – so come back regularly and see what it new!
